Islamorada Restaurant Reviews of Hungry Tarpon
“Very nice lunch spot”

We went here for lunch. This place was fun and festive and right on the water. The food was pretty good and the margaritas were great. There are also a lot of retail booths around the restaurant so you can do a bit of shopping after you eat. It was a great place to stop for a couple of hours.
“Very pleasant surprise”

We went here because my husband's friend recommended it. It looks very strange from road and I thought he was crazy, but we stopped to feed the tarpon, had fun and stayed through dinner. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Live music. All three kids loved the whole experience. I'm a vegetarian so I asked the restaurant staff to give me fish tacos without the fish - and they created some amazing black bean and avocado tacos that really should be on the menu, as they were amazing. Highly recommend.
“Great location, cool bar”

We went here for a sunrise breakfast and the place was loaded with pelicans on the dock and tarpon in the water. The bar there is one of the bars with the money hanging all over. They have a nice menu and friendly service with outdoor seating being the majority of the seating available.

I find this place magical. You can kayak with the manatees. Feed the Tarpons. Watch 100's of seas birds , all in one spot. In addition, I love the Hungry Tarpon restaurant at the marina. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and enjoyed both - for me, it has the tastiest vegetarian choices in the northern keys. Watching the fish, birds, etc while you eat is a huge bonus. The staff at the marina, and kayaking desk are lovely.
